This drama is based on a novel and incomplete screenplay by the late Maria Luis Bemberg. In 1930s Argentina, wealthy Sebastian (Antonio Birabent) leaves his Buenos Aires home for the family estate on the pampas. His family, concerned for his physical and mental health, arranges for Sebastian's childhood friend Juan (Walter Quiroz) to check on Sebastian's situation. Juan finds the highly erratic Sebastian caught in a doomed relationship with the Danish daughter of religious sect members. Unfortunately, Juan also becomes obsessed with the young woman, and Sebastian's suspicions increase.

After being released from prison, small-time con artist Cade tracks down his old girlfriend. When she rebuffs him, he fakes his past in order to get hired as the principal of the school where she teaches, in the hopes of winning her back. Cade soon begins to take a sincere interest in the welfare of his students, and enlists the help of his friend Matthew to break a drug-dealing network that has infested the school.

Marta works as a trainer at a fitness club. She meets Vitaly, and a romance begins between them. But Marta starts to suspect that Vitaly is cheating on her with another woman. The debauched son of a wealthy family, Dick Gilbert, is forced to raise money to pay off gambling debts and uses a valuable family jewel as security for a loan from Prince Borkoff, but it is stolen by Morris, a gambler. To save face for Dick, his sister Judith determines to recover the gem, and in the guise of Canada Nell, a girl of the streets, she meets Morris, who becomes infatuated with her. She learns that Mrs. Smith, a social climber, has purchased the jewel and (finding that it is stolen) plans to use it to further her position. Judith impersonates herself at a party and retrieves the jewel; through a series of maneuvers she evades capture by De Mornoff, a jewel thief, and returns the jewel to the family safe just before her brother pays off his debt. Bruce Gordon, a reporter, who wishes to reform her, arrives with the police on the tail of the gang; Judith reveals her true identity and accepts the proposal of Gordon.

A series pilot about a secret agent who is armed with skills learned by a computer-brain link-up -- lasting only 72 hours at a time -- and is sent to rescue a Russian submarine commander, a defector who has been kidnapped by an agent for another nation.
